HBCU Takeover Night and College Fair

Dear HBCU Supporters,

The LA Sparks are excited to celebrate the traditions of the many HBCUs on Sunday, August 14! We are hosting a FREE college fair with many HBCUs reps present, a panel of HBCU graduates and HBCU Night at the LA Sparks game!

We are inviting students from the Los Angeles area to the free event to learn more about each HBCU and how college should be an experience that not only involves learning, but also encompasses self-discovery and self-actualization. We believe HBCUs provide a nurturing, supportive environment that affirms, empowers, and positively reinforces students to pursue their life and purpose confidently, and successfully, both professionally and personally after graduation.

Additionally, we have an exceptional panel of entertainment professionals and HBCU graduates beginning at 3pm.

Tyler Janeé Ward (Clark Atlanta): Digital Travel & Entertainment Content Creator

Kevin John (Morehouse): Sportscaster and Reporter at ABC10

Bri Harmon (FAMU): Television Host

Amir Windom (FAMU): Grammy Award-Winning, Record and Entertainment Executive.

TBD- possibly from Kevin Hart’s production company
